We'll ring in 2007

We are blessed with
a wonderful group of advisors and volunteers too numerous to
mention. Those courageous enough to submit bios are:
- Mike Frost
-
When Mike is not gracing our stage as Technical Director, set builder, and
advisor to our production meetings, he is the hardest working boatwright this side of the Mississippi. He enjoys sailing, mountain climbing, and spending time with his better half, his dog, Fountain. Mike
made his acting debut in 2005 and proved a natural. He has
already delighted audiences with his roles as Walter in "Artichoke,"
Bernie in "Cooking With Gus," and George in "Same
Time, Next Year."
- Mike was an Air
Force baby and spent much of his childhood overseas. He has seen much of the United States, graduating
high school in Delaware and later moving with the company he worked for providing high pressure washers for clean-up to places in Cleveland, Syracuse, NY, and San Francisco. He almost became a Texan in 1990, when he moved to Corpus Christi, but he slipped and had to move to New Orleans in 1993.
He made the right choice, and became a true transplant when he moved to Port Aransas in 1996, and then here to Aransas Pass in 2002.
- We're glad he decided to
stay because he is a very integral part of what we do here at the Rialto, whether it's showing his dedication in an acting role, building sets, assistant directing, or stage managing, Mike has a big job here.
- Cindy Savoy
-
Cindy is an honors graduate (Kappa Gamma PI) with a Master's Degree in Theatre Arts/Costume Design from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. She is also a magna cum laude graduate in Theatre Arts/ Costume Design from St. Edward's University in Austin. Cindy made her acting debut as a tap-dancing poodle at the age of four, and has been somewhere near a stage ever since. She has played in roles like Tzeitel in "Fiddler on the Roof," and Winifred in "Once Upon a Mattress." Cindy's costume designs range from comedies like "Bedroom Farce" to "The Merchant of Venice," by William
Shakespeare. In 1993, she opened the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, were she worked on the their walk-around characters like Popeye and
Olive-Oyl. In 1996, her designs for Texas Station Gambling Hall and Hotel won an NAUMD Image of The Year Award, a Nationally recognized organization for uniform manufacturers and designers.
- Cindy spent almost ten years in Las Vegas as Costume Designer and Wardrobe Mistress for Station Casinos, where she supervised a crew of six seamstresses, and oversaw the design and production of costumes and wardrobe for eight casinos and over 10,000 employees. Cindy is a native Texan, and was born and raised right here in Aransas Pass. Her parents are the late Judge Martin C., and the retired Judge Gloria F.
Haskett. Cindy is married to Phillip Savoy, also of Aransas Pass, and has one son, Jordan Hamilton. Jordan is also involved in the
theater as a "techie." Cindy is our resident costume designer, one of our resident actresses, and advises our group as the Artistic Director. You might remember her from the Rialto's first production of "Artichoke."
- When Cindy grows up, she wants to be Loretta Lynn.
